Half Year Review
You may or may not be aware that at the start of 2019 I did a monthly review to check in and see if I was achieving my goals. However, after a few months I decided that I was reviewing too frequently so I left it for a while. Now we’re halfway through the year (can you believe it??!) so I decided it was time for a 6 month review.
So here’s what I love about the year so far…
I have booked a trip back to England for a visit, which was super important to me. I leave at the end of July.
I had a lovely road trip with Conor and his parents, including visiting old friends on Airlie Beach and exploring Magnetic Island for the first time.
I have been to the Great Barrier Reef twice – I always feel that I should make the most of it since I live so close.
I have kept up a regular exercise regime and I am finally seeing results.
I feel that I have cut down on my plastic and food waste, although I still feel that I can continue to try to do more.
I have had some really good freelance writing opportunities and produced some work which I am particularly proud of.
I am working towards renewing my Australian visa.
Here are some things that I am less happy about…
I haven’t made it back to Melbourne to visit friends and I just don’t know when I will.
I haven’t managed to go camping at all.
I haven’t managed to spend as much time exploring the incredible area where I live as I did when I first moved here.
My blog hasn’t grown as much as I had hoped.
So here are my goals for 2019 part 2:
Continue to exercise regularly
Continue to grow my freelance writing business
Continue to grow my blog
Renew my Australian visa and still be in the country by the end of the year!
Try to find time to visit Melbourne
Go camping
Go on a trip in December if possible
Explore more amazing places in the local area – waterfalls, hikes, etc.
Continue to save up money
I’m excited to see what the second half of this crazy fast year will bring. I hope your 2019 is flowing beautifully, and if not, here’s your chance to turn things around for the next six months!
xoxo
